Our Story

We Are the Neelys

Durango Escape is a 21-year dream that finally came true for us. We met in Summit County, Colorado when we were ski bums working for Vail Resorts. We made the choice to move away to get "real" jobs in California. We were looking for our perfect mountain town to raise our family in. We came to Durango in July 2022 and found this amazing property. We have lovingly renovated the units for over a year and are very excited to share them with you! This property has been a labor of love for us and we still have a ways to go, with the landscaping next on our list. Please excuse us if we are in the middle of improving this one-of-a-kind property. The Property

Ten Acres on Lightner Creek

Our unique, boutique apartment complex is located on 10 beautiful acres with Lightner Creek running through it. Our modern southwest-designed apartments are thoughtfully curated to give you the comforts of home, but in a tranquil and relaxed environment. The property is surrounded by beautiful mountain and butte views. There is space to walk and enjoy the grassy area to play yard games, or just sit back and relax in your hammock chair on your own balcony. We recently created a sandy creek-side area where kids love to dig around while parents can sit back and sip cold drinks. We are excited to share the peace and awe we have fallen in love with!
